Michel Houellebecq: Mapa a územie

Through a story of a successful artist Jed Martin, the author invites the reader into the world of bizarre art business bizarre art business, practices of media and literary agents. The author’s favourite obsessions, such as loneliness, uprooting, inability to create a relation and wasting away, are spiced and diluted by humour.

Michel Houellebecq – a writer, poet and movie director, born on the French island of Reunion. He claims allegiance to the legacy of Marquise de Sade and Charles Baudelaire.

Minigallery – Toll House

Bratislava was an important industrial centre of Hungary towards the end of the 19th century, but it was lacking its connection with the right bank of the Danube river. In 1889, the Land Assembly decided to build the first permanent bridge over the Danube including two toll houses on both sides. The toll house on the Bratislava’s side of the river now shows off a mini museum on the top floor and a mini gallery on the ground floor…
