The main hero of this witty and almost childishly naiive  tale is Mr Valéry, who lives in a familiar settings but does not fit in, despite his charmingly inapropriate attempts to do so.Yet at all times he maintains his unique style and personality and also his own particular logic.

Thanks to Instituto Camoes - Prague (Portugalský institut v Praze),  the Czech translation of his book "O Senhor Valéry e a lógica" (Smršť publishing, 2011) will be presented by the author in person.

Gonçalo M. Tavares (*1970) is one of the most renowned portuguese writers. His works include mostly novels, but he also authors poems and theatre plays, small proses and essays, published either in books or periodicals. This internationally renowned author of twenty seven books, of which over twenty were translated to more than fifteen languages, will present his book "O Senhor Valéry e a lógica" to the Czech audience in the foyer of the Press centre of the Bookworld festival in the Průmyslový palace. After the presentation there will take place a discussion with the author.
