Andrzej Bart: Fabryka muchołapek (2008)

The novel depicts a fictional trial in which the dead sue the former chair of the Lodz ghetto Chaim Rumkowski, who managed to turn the ghetto in a perfectly functioning business. Was he a cymical collaborator exploiting his comrades or a tragic hero, who tried to save lives?

Thanks to the Polish institute in Prague, we will have the opportunity to meet Andrzej Bart at the literature festival and book fair.

On wednesday, May 11th, will mr. Bart take part in the opening ceremony of the Literature night and will shortly meet  the audience.

Andrzej Bart, playwright, film director and one of the most renowned polish writers will come to Prague to introduce czech translation of his book "Fabryka muchołapek" (Fra publishing, 2011). A public reading followed by a discussion will take place on thursday, May 12th at 3 pm, in the right wing of Průmyslový palace, left balcony. At 4 pm the author will be present for signings at booth S101.
