Muzeum Milana Dobeše

Zámočnícka 13, Bratislava
Čte: Daniel Hevier

During its reconstruction the originally bourgeois dwelling house from the 14th century revealed the excavations from the first century B.C. Its gothic, renaissance or baroque reconstructions remained partly preserved even in the modern architectonic adaptation. The Museum, following above all constructivist trends in the visual art, possesses also a cellar space.

Heinrich von Kleist: Michael Kohlhaas

Translation: M. Chorvátová

The themes of the Kleist nouvelle – law, moral, state, individual – are always being actual. That is probably one of the reasons why he belongs to the most often performed authors on the German-speaking stages, though we are commemorating the 200th anniversary of his dead this year. The Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava has been just performing his play The Broken Jug.
