Literature Night in Warsaw is traditionally taking place within the framework of the International Museum Night. This year in Warsaw more than 130 cultural institutes and organizations are taking part. A marathon of events will take place in the Czech Centres in Warsaw between 19:00 and 01:00 the following day. A newly published translation of his book Lehni, bestie by Jiří Kratochvíl will be presented. The following part of this literature evening will be dedicated to Ota Filip. His translator Jan Stachowski will present a book “Sousede a ti druzí” which was nominated for the Angelus literary award at the end of last year.
A presentation of Czech literature in translation of two publishing houses GoodBooks and Atut followed by an opportunity to purchase a printed copy of the books will ensue.
Student graduate’s animated films will be screened from 21:30.
The whole event is framed by an exposition of photographs from a theatrical environment “Daria in and out” from two artists – a renowned photographer Petr Našic portraying a world famous Czech coryphée of the “English National Balet” Daria Kliment.
