Czech Centre Rome in cooperation with the Slovak Institute in Rome will be hosting the Literature Night  in the prestigious area of Casa delle Letterature in the centre of Rome where extracts from books of young authors from both countries will be read. The Czech Republic will be represented by literary extracts from Jáchym Topol (Anděl, Nočni práce), Jaroslav Rudiš (Nebe nad Berlínem) and Irena Douskova (Oněgyn byl Rusak). Translations of these pieces will be presented by local students from the municipal academy. From the authors mentioned above only the work by Jáchym Topol was published in Italy thanks to the publishing house Azimut. The remaining extracts from the publications were translated by the Czech Center Rome to this occasion.
