This palace has been built by earl Ballasa in the second half of the 18th century. The portal and the loft are decorted with human virtues representing Discretion, Gentleness, Righteousness and Courage. Come and ascend to the first floor on which the ceremonial quarters with a rococo-style pargeting are found.
Tatra Bank Palace has been built between the years 1923 and 1925 according to a project by architect Milan Michal Harminec. Today it is the home of the Astorka. Its small stage is located in the rear side of the palace in the former treasure vault.

Today’s appearance of the palace is a result of a reconstruction connected with the attachment of the cornewing, so called Zsigray house. The vice-regent used to reside in this building. After relocation of this institution to Budín it had been used by soldiers and the municipal guard. Later the financial directory has moved in. Today it serves as a purpose-built establishment for Government Office of the Slovak Republic. Vietnamese personnel in a Japanese sushi restaurant will, together with us, plunge into the text of a pseudo- Vietnamese author.
Formerly a medieval building on Kapitulska Street has kept its former character despite several reconstructions and a severe fire over the centuries. Today the Czech-Slovak legal agency Peterka and Partners resides in its quarters. Contrary to your expectations forget about legal paragraphs and accept a warm welcome inside their romantic garden.
The Pallfy Palace was built by one of the greatest Hungarian magnates based on the examples of French and Austrian baroque. It has gone through a radical reconstruction during the 19th and 20th century but has still kept some of its former historic fragments. Let us ascend several floors to the attic and breathe out in the studio of architecture of the University of Art.
The aroque building of the Ursula monastery was annexed to the original late renaissance church in which Ursula sisters had been formerly holding religious classes with young girls. From 1991 a primary school resides in its premises and includes a gymnasium situated inside the former chapel. Training rings and mattresses will be exchanged for chairs today.
Only recently reconstructed bourgeois Baroque building on Rudnaya square is dating from the 18th century. The house is part of the Vydrická Gate.
