Young archeologist Petrus is making a chronicle of a typical provincial spa town. The calmness of this slowly paced place is however disrupted by a discovery of a mass grave containing substantially younger human remains on the excavation site of a Roman stronghold. The novel Malíčky won the Romania Literara Prize and Anonimul Foundation Prize for first novel and prize for the best fictionc debut from the Romanian League of Writers. Translations haves been published in in Hungary, Poland, Germany, the United States of America, Slovenia and Slovakia.
