Péter Esterházy (Hungary): Žiadne umenie

Translation: Juliana Szolnokiová, Kalligram 2009

Probably the most famous contemporary Hungarian writer and father of the Hungarian postmodern fiction is after nearly two decades linking his new piece of work to the original novel about a dying mother - Pomocna slovesa srcdce. This time it is a book about a resurrected mother, mother who knows the rule of being offside and whose language which defines the relationship towards the world is the language of a football game.

Primary School of St.Ursula

The aroque building of the Ursula monastery was annexed to the original late renaissance church in which Ursula sisters had been formerly holding religious classes with young girls. From 1991 a primary school resides in its premises and includes a gymnasium situated inside the former chapel. Training rings and mattresses will be exchanged for chairs today.
