Jordan Radičkov (Bulgaria): Hady na lúkach

Translation: Emil Kudlička, SSS 2008

We can find illustrations of anecdotic, satiric and grotesque-like prose in this narrative selection of tales stemming from traditions of loose folk storytelling. Micro-story Chlapča a háďa with the author’s typical fairytale-like style paints the world of children, snakes and adults. Radičkov is a significant Bulgarian author of the 20th century, whose books have been translated into more than twenty languages.

Attic of VŠVU– Studio

The Pallfy Palace was built by one of the greatest Hungarian magnates based on the examples of French and Austrian baroque. It has gone through a radical reconstruction during the 19th and 20th century but has still kept some of its former historic fragments. Let us ascend several floors to the attic and breathe out in the studio of architecture of the University of Art.
