The story about a woman, who had more intellect than luck during her life, thanks to which she safely and relatively easily survived perhaps the cruelest century in the history of Europe. Theerspective of an adolescent boy, from whose perception we follow the former as well as the contemporary deeds of the main hero, lends the book a specific charm.

Mirbach Palace

This palace belongs to one of the most preserved Rococo buildings of its kind in Bratislava. It has been rebuilt to its present shape by a rich brewer Michael Spech.
