Paul Fournel
A writer and former publisher, Paul Fournel is Attaché for books at the French Embassy. He has published thirty books: novels, short stories, poetry and plays and has been awarded the Goncourt prize for short stories. Two of his books have been translated into English : Little Girls Breathe the Same Air We Do and Need for the Bike.
Gilles Petel
Gilles Pétel is the author of four novels: Le Métier dans le sang; Le Mur de Broadway: Le Recensement and La Déposition depicting marginal characters who rebel against the society in which they live. A graduate in Philosophy, Gilles Pétel has taught for many years in the Parisian region as well as abroad, particularly in Turkey and Germany which provide the background for two of his novels.

La Déposition is about a love affair between a young man of 19 and a mature man of 40, a psychiatrist. This story of long-lasting passion is told by the young man ten years on. Brilliantly written and fast paced, the novel won acclaim from the best French critics.
